Obverse:
Centered on the medal is the emblematic Papal Coat of Arms, encircled by the elegant inscription “Franciscus Pontifex Maximus Anno XI,” commemorating the eleventh year of Pope Francis’s pontificate.
Edge:
Adorning the medal’s edge is the phrase “e Civitate Vaticana,” along with the medal’s unique number, signifying its individuality.
Reverse:
At the heart of the reverse side is the divine “Chrismon,” a Christogram constructed from olive branches and situated between the Greek letters Alpha and Omega. A gracefully woven ribbon merges with the “Rho” letter, leading to a dove carrying an olive branch, epitomizing the peace and faith that only God can give to humanity.
Additional Details:
Above, the phrase “Simul Inveniendae Sunt Pacis Semitae” is delicately etched, and the artist Michele Celeste’s signature graces the bottom of the medal.
